About Me
My Qualifications and Approach as a Therapist

I am a Clinical Psychologist based at Optima@Rustenvrede private psychiatric hospital in Stellenbosch. As an avid outdoor adventure seeker, I find solace in nature and the mountains. I have a deep appreciation for creative self-expression such as theatre, music and media. This journey fostered my interest in psychology and the human mind.
I completed my undergraduate and honours degree in Psychology at Stellenbosch University. I went on to complete my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Western Cape, and my internship at 2 Military Hospital. I spent my community service year at a Youth Correctional Facility in Worcester.
Having completed my clinical training at different institutions across the Western Cape, I had the privilege and opportunity to draw from complex and diverse environments. From my training, I developed a keen interest in working with teenagers and young-adults, but see individuals aged 5 to 95.
I work from a holistic, dynamic and in-depth psychotherapeutic perspective. I believe each life-narrative is unique and that every individual has the resilience and potential to overcome life’s greatest hardships. As a therapist, I value the bravery in which it takes to seek therapy. I aim to build genuine and trusting relationships with my patients so as to foster growth, self-exploration and healing. It is my hope to understand individual experience and vulnerability which shape our perceptions and worldview.
